Using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to Demystify Other Compliance Frameworks

William will show and explain how I use this framework to move between multiple framework with the same question structure and to analyze a client security posture.

William O. (Bill) McGuire

Enterprise Security Architect and Governance, Risk and Compliance Consultant

Mr. McGuire is an experienced Enterprise Architect that has moved into the Security Architecture arena. In his work transitioning from Enterprise Architecture to Information Security Architecture, he has evaluated Fortune 1000 companies from corporate policy, to processes, procedures, technology and personnel in relation to multiple compliance framework controls. Bill uses this information to consistently reprise his role as a collector, advisor and interviewer for the company at their site location or remotely. Bill then uses established DXC processes to tailor specific advice to the specific needs of the client company based on his deep knowledge of compliance frameworks and advisory history of assisting other corporate entities with understanding and describing the necessary improvements that will lead to their continued success.

Drawing on over 20 years of IT experience, he brings his knowledge of enterprise information systems and data centers to companies to help shape and transform their business strategies and processes.  His last 8 years have been spent working with companies that desire global, multi-site deployments of centrally secured software and hardware, including company datacenters, third party datacenters, and hybrid cloud deployments.
